GIVERNOR Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has expressed concern with condemnation over the blasphemous act alleged to have been caused in the state against the Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) by certain unscrupulous element.
Tambuwal , represented at a press conference addressed on Friday by the state Commissioner for Information , Isah Bajini Galadanci on behalf of the state government condemned in the strongest terms what he described as an unholy behaviour , stressing that his government would not condone such acts against Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) or any Prophet of God or His scriptures.
The governor said necessary efforts were being taken in collaboration with security agencies and relevant authorities to ensure appropriate measures were followed.
He said the suspect had since been arrested and investigations were ongoing assuring that he would be brought to justice before a competent court of law.
Tambuwal hitherto , cautioned against politicising the issue while noting that it was time all should CE together in matters of such concern.
Accordingly, the governor commended the resilience and reasoning of the coalition of youths in the state who he noted that, despite partisan divides, came together and approached relevant authorities rather than taking the law into their hands .
In the same vein, Tambuwal urged people in the state to toe and maintain the peace, law and order as necessary measure were being taken to address the issue accordingly.
