While the Federal High Court in Abuja admitted Blord to bail on self-recognizance, VDM asserted in a video shared Saturday that the businessman remains in custody due to an inability to fulfill a specific bail condition.
According to VDM, Blord is required to submit his international passport to the court before he can be released.
Blord had spent over two weeks in detention following allegations of impersonating VDM for commercial purposes, including forging documents and using the critic’s image on billboards without consent.
He will reportedly remain in prison until the required travel documents are deposited with the court.
