…..as Wamakko says APC ‘ ll emerge stronger after members registration, revalidation exercise

HOUSE of Representatives Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila says Nigeria needs the commitment and sacrifices of the leadership and the followership to sail out of the woods of its growing challenges.

” We are in a very challenging times like other nations.”

Gbajabiamila spoke Sunday in Sokoto at the Gawon Nama Sokoto residence of Senator Aliyu Wamakko when he visited the former governor to commiserate with him over the recent fire outbreak at the Sokoto central market as well share in the grief on the loss of Sultan’s brother and former Commissioner , Abdulkadir Abubakar Jeli.

The Speaker had earlier paid similar visit to the State government and Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar who lost his brother.

He noted that many countries of the world had passed through a number of turbulent moments amidst serious challenges and emerged stronger with committed hearts of both the leadership and followership.

According to the number four citizen who was in company of the House Committee Chairman on Defence,” we need to collectively strengthen efforts at rebuilding hope for the advancement of the country in the spirit of unity”, he urged.

He described Wamakko as his leader who many Nigerians would continue to tap from his fountain of knowledge and experience, adding ” I have high and esteem regards for him in many respects .

” You have demonstrated unprecedented but people oriented attitude towards developing Sokoto and Nigeria as a whole .

” You should continue to propel he state to greater heights. We truly appreciate you. You are Sokoto and Sokoto is Wamakko”, he added.

While assuring that Nigerians would continue to fight against he myraid of challenges shrouding it, Gbajabiamila prayed God to continue to protect the country form all forms of calamities.

Responding , Senator Wamakko appreciated the Speaker for his show of love , concern and brotherhood to Sokoto state and its people particularly the victims of the recent fire disaster.

He commended the lawmaker for the wonderful leadership he was providing in the House of Representatives without turbulence.

” God’s time is the best. You are doing well for the nation. I recall , how it started in 2015 and did not happen but today you are there as Speaker”, he said.

Meanwhile, Wamakko insisted that APC would emerge stronger ahead of 2023 after the registration and revalidation exercise being conducted by the party nationwide.

He made the remark at his Gidan Kara town, Wamakko local government where he revalidated his membership of the party.

Wamkko who is the Leader of the party in the state, was revalidated at his unit as 001 said the registration and revalidation exercise was a’ good omen ‘ for the party.

According to him, it will strengthen the party’s unity, give hope to members participation as well drive its capacity to deliver in 2023 at both state and federal levels.

He insisted that Sokoto state belonged to APC down the grassroots while recalling that the party’s mandate was clandestinely robbed in the 2019 general elections ” we will emerge stronger and victorious in the next coming polls by God’s willing.”

On the fate of the APC amidst call and plans from some quarters to float a mega party , Wamakko said ” APC remains unshaken and would continue as APC without envisaging any threat by the alleged mega party coming on board”, he declared.
