Dan Iya alleges fears over politicians, youths violent tendency in Sokoto

SOKOTO, Northwest Nigeria. – Ahead of the 2019 polls coming few months from now, fears of alleged grooming of youths in Sokoto state into future armed robbers and kidnappers by some politicians is fast threatening the peaceful nature of the state according to the state Deputy Governor Hon. Maniru Muhammad Dan’iya(Sardaunan  Kware).

Maniru who raised the alarm also noted that their sponsors were gearing efforts by supporting the young Nigerians through encouraging their use of drugs and thuggery activities for selfish political gains.

The Sokoto state deputy governor 
made it known while receiving PDP Youth organisations in his office on a solidarity visit as well to show their support to the all-inclusive style of leadership of the new Deputy Governor.

Dan’iya frowned at the political parties in the state who claim supremacy and yet, sponsor youth with drugs to cause mayhem to the general public.

While exonerating PDP from the alleged acts, the deputy governor wandered in confusion how such young Nigerians through their sponsors acquire or manufacture such weapons they brandish publicly at occasions to threaten and instil fears  in the public.

He warned PDP youths to shun such acts and tendency as they brew negative consequences to peaceful, free and fair conduct of elections.

”  The youth must always think of their future as potential leaders in the spirit of nationalism, patriotism , peace and unity.  We must make Nigeria great with strong and prosperous future that can compete favourably with other nations.

“ PDP remains resilient and will ensure its youths are guided.  We will strengthen the education capacity of youths in the state through policies that would reflect quality, value addition by creating jobs”, he assured.

Earlier, Muhammad Ashiru who spoke on behalf of the youth leaders numbering10, congratulated the newly appointed Deputy Governor promising him of their unflinching support while assuring that they would not engage in any form thuggery and drug abuse
