The visit of the Chairman, United Bank for Africa(UBA), Dr Tony Elumelu to the Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto at the weekend has impacted with the Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdullahi Abdu Zuru, advocating the establishment of Tony Elumelu Business School in the University, in partnership with Elumelu.
Zuru made it known to the visitor who was in the institution to address students at the National Dialogue Series organized by the Students’ Union, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto,
in collaboration with the management of the institution.
According to the Vice Chancellor, the proposed School would be training budding Entrepreneurs in the country, to further tame poverty, unemployment and youths restiveness.
In the same vein, Zuru opined that the proposed school would help in providing responsive solutions to the formidable socio-economic problems
plaguing Nigeria.
He lauded the UBA
Chairman for the intellectual nurturing of students of the institution while describing him as,” an icon of great recognition in the continent and the world at large.”
