Governor Adeleke had ordered the immediate suspension of all NURTW activities across motor parks in the state ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election, citing the need to restore order and halt illegal levy collections.
However, MC Oluomo, speaking through his deputy, defied the directive, arguing that state governors lack the legal authority to suspend a nationally registered union.
Reacting on social media, Davido—who is Governor Adeleke’s nephew—mocked the union leader’s response, triggering intense debate online.
Doubling down on his Instagram story, the music star questioned MC Oluomo’s involvement in political thuggery and alleged interference in Osun State politics against the sitting administration.
