Deaf And Dumb Graduate Whose Shop Govt Demolished Thrice, Appeals To El- rufai
A Deaf and Dumb graduate who had his shops demolished three times by the Kaduna state government, has appealed to the Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasiru el-rufai, to come to his rescue and save his life.
Sufi Abubakar, who studied electrical engineering at the Federal University of Technology Minna- Niger state, has now embraced creativity and self- employment instead of being a street beggar.
According to the young man, who is also a computer specialist, he’s prepared for his shop business rather than depending on any one to help him,
In an exclusive interview with a Kaduna based Journalist, he appealed to Governor Nasiru el-rufai to come to his rescue as he has two wives that are equally deaf and dumb, with their children, adding that, this is the third time, they have demolished his shop at different spots without any compensation or given any other place as alternative for him to continue his business.

Question; I learnt your shop was demolished?
Answer; Yes, its my third time to experience this kind of demolition in Kaduna state, since when I decided to create my own business for my self without depending on any one to help me.
Question: Where and when did the first one happen?
Answer: The first one was located inside peoples Recreational centre along independence way, the second one is at Kaduna state university opposite Al-mannar masjig, then the third one is at Kigo road Kaduna.
Questions: So how are you now coping working and doing your business in an open place without roof over your head, while operating on the street?
Answer: Normally, when you fall down ,you will need more energy and courage to get up, so as this place seems open and the weather is unfriendly and bad , I have no choice than to withstand it for the time being,
Question: Do you have a family?
Answer: Yes, I am married to two wives and have two children, I am also catering for my younger brothers and sisters, as well and my old parents that are at home.
Question: Are your wives Deaf and Dumb
Answer: Yes, both of them are dump, infact one of them that just got out of my shop before you came in ,and she is my first wife and the second one is equally at home with my other families
Question: What is the level of your educational career?
Answer: I am graduate of bachelor in technology , I studied electrical engineering of federal university of technology Minna
Question: What do you want Government to do for you as you operate now on the street?
Answer: As I have been into this business that ICT, i want the government to create an enabling environment that my business can improve, i have gotten used to suffering in search of job, when I can create a job for my self and employ others, i like it and government should just empower and provide the means for me, that’s all
QUESTION: In conclusion, would you like the government to find another place for you, so as to ease the situation to face now in terms of operating amids of Cold, rain, breeze and other environmental factors
Answer: Of course, I would love it, i wish the government have a listening ear and have sympathy for the less-privileged persons in the state.
