NSC Chairman Shehu Dikko announced the agreement on Tuesday following a high-level meeting with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Abuja.

The deal, which includes improved remuneration and direct NFF funding for Chelle’s backroom staff, aims to foster technical continuity and streamline the transition of young talent into the senior setup.

Chelle, who led the Super Eagles to a bronze medal at the 2025 AFCON, is now tasked with building a foundation for the future, with a primary focus on qualifying the U-23 team for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
