The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the arrest of Hon. Emmanuel Odiniya, the father of Big Brother Naija “All Stars” winner Ilebaye Odiniya, following a domestic violence incident in Abuja.

The intervention came after Ilebaye launched a distressing Instagram livestream on Friday night, May 8, 2026, where she was seen crying for help and appearing visibly assaulted.
The footage, which quickly went viral, showed the reality star with facial injuries and sparked a massive outcry from fans and fellow celebrities, including former housemates Tacha and Beauty Tukura, who rallied to ensure her safety.
In a statement released on Saturday, May 9, the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed that officers from the Wuye Division responded to a midnight distress call from Royal Anchor Estate.
After gaining access to the premises at approximately 2:30 a.m., police rescued Ilebaye and her brothers.
Ilebaye was immediately rushed to the NNPC Hospital in Abuja for medical treatment for visible bruises.
Hon. Emmanuel Odiniya remains in police custody while a thorough investigation into the assault continues.
