Adegbuyi who disclosed the development to reporters in Sokoto Thursday during a working visit to the Sokoto Zonal office of the agency said” we are set to rank in tune with modernity with competitive efficiency and sustained reliability.”
According to him,” the re-positioning exercise is being done based on

the reports of some consultants.

” So, my visits across the country are aimed at assessing the progress and challenges of the agency.

” This is sequel to our commitment to change the fortunes of the
service in line with the three Is, which every staff is expected to
imbibe.

” These are Innovation, Invention and Integration and all of us must be fully and religiously committed to them if the agency is to be effectively turned around.”

Though, Adegbuyi noted that the challenges of the agency’s offices, nationwide differ, but,

there are also unique opportunities for each zone.

The agency’s Boss also stated that the management of the service was also
committed to redress the physical and technological changes, in this direction, insisting that ‎” we must imbibe and adequately embrace technology if we are to truly diversify and stay afloat, in line with global best practices.” We have also have to decisively deal with some formidable
challenges that include dilapidated infrastructure, low morale of staff and low deployment of technology.

” With the election of President of Muhammadu Buhari in 2015, the fortunes of the agency changed for the better.

” Hitherto, NIPOST was part of the unsavory experience, but he is now committed to re-positioning.
