The governing body confirmed that approximately 60 fans were allocated tickets priced at 0 USD due to a payment processing issue.
While FIFA has issued an apology for the mistake, it has requested that the affected supporters pay the required amount to retain their seats.
Those impacted by the error have been given a seven-day window to complete the payment or risk forfeiting their tickets.
Reports indicate that the affected tickets were for group-stage matches set to be hosted in Toronto, Canada.
This incident occurs as FIFA faces increasing scrutiny regarding its ticketing arrangements for the expanded 2026 tournament, which is being co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
