The Islamic Movement in Nigeria has again published an e-photo album of the faces of some victims of Enforced Disappearances since that heinous Zaria genocide of December 2015 by the Buhari government.
Many of these people are believed to be held in secret underground cells and detention centres across the country, but some might have been part of those who were hurriedly secretly buried in a mass shallow grave in Mando in the outskirt of Kaduna and elsewhere.
As the ICC Prosecutor, Fatou Bensouda said, “the crime of enforced disappearance inflicts severe harm, including on the family of the missing persons, and spreads terror within society. It is a serious crime punishable under the ICC Rome Statute.”
This latest list includes the names, pictures, addresses, ages, and places with dates they were last seen of the first 50 people, in accordance with World Standards.

This is extracted from the Islamic Movement’s updated list of hundreds of its followers who are feared to be among the victims of enforced disappearances since the genocidal forces of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Nigerian army brutally attacked members of the Movement in Zaria over a weekend in December 2015.
It will be recalled that earlier, the Movement had published a list of close to 900 of its members it said were “missing” since that eventful weekend. The list, according to the Free Zakzaky Campaign Committee, did not include the names of many hundreds known with certainty to be detained in Kaduna Prison as a fall out of the attack on the Movement. Yet many hundreds of members still remain unaccounted for.
Kaduna State officials confessed in the midst of denials by top military officials that it assisted named officers of the Nigerian army to bury 347 members of the IMN the military killed in Zaria between 12th and 14th of December, 2015 in mass graves in Mando at night.
The International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague has concluded a preliminary investigation into this crime against humanity. However, neither the federal nor Kaduna state government has been able to satisfactorily account for the high number of missing persons or even the corpses it agreed were killed.
