Dr Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto, Sokoto state governor has reiterated commitment to facilitate favourable climate for expansion of desired business horizon for investors participation to boost the state economy.
He noted that this can be achieved through the provision of enabling environment, promotion of local content and infrastructure to attract private partnership.
Aliyu Sokoto said at the weekend while inaugurating a state of the art modern eatery, Dekem Restaurant along Kano- Gusau road , Sokoto.

He said the economic.growth and prosperity of Sokoto state was cardinal to his government stressing that ” we will boost business activities and create opportunities through encouraging the growth of private business”, he added.
The governor who also commended the proprietor of the outfit , Mr Adesoya describing Devkem as a mark and symbol of success, job opportunities and a milestone for the overall upliftment of Sokoto state as a hub and destination of progress.
” We are in support of gainful partnership initiatives for economic growth and with high quality services, business such as Devkem will surely attract tourists to the state and impact all and sundry with the best hospitality”, he pointed out.
The governor represented by Alhaji Haruna Abbas Bashar , Commissioner for Commerce said Devkem will influence would be investors into more of such business.
” We acknowledge your efforts and are sure will crown the future of a beneficial Sokoto state economically”, he remarked.
On his part, Devkem’s CEO, Mr David Agbonyin Adesoya said alot of business projects were in the pipeline to boost Sokoto state economy describing the state as potentially viable with opportunities for job creation and to serve people better.
According to him, 65% of Devkem’s work force were locals explaining that all consumables were also procured locally to boost commercial activities in the state.
He explained that his ideas and business investment began in 2007 to where it stood today disclosing that in the next five years Devkem would have unveiled other business lines as bottled water, hotels and suit and tomato plant.
Adesoya described Sokoto state as friendly and hospitable with customers loyalty for business growth.
” We shall reward our cuters.amd Sokoto people with quality services for their money because Devkem has passion for needs”, he assured.
