Gov Diri says PDP ‘II not allow Nigeria go down the drain as Saraki describes Sokoto as political hub

Bayelsa state governor Duoye Diri has said that the People’s Democratic Party, PDP will do everything possible and legitimate to ensure Nigeria do not go down the drain.

He said PDP was already building towards salvaging the country from current pathetic situation , stressing that ” Nigeria needs to be recovered in earnest .”

Diri who spoke Monday night in Sokoto as a Special Guest of Honour at a fund raising dinner for state PDP chapter to support its campaign for the polls stressed that Nigeria needs to be recovered.

According to the governor “We want strength of purpose in unity to drive the party to desired success in the upcoming elections.”

In the same flank, Diri while tracing
the political fraternity of the South south with the North pointed out that ” we have long standing and beneficial political relations.

” We want strength of purpose in unity to drive the party to desired success in the upcoming elections in Sokoto and Nigeria.”

The governor further described governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal as a dynamic democrat with political resilience and capacity to depend on, hence the need for the party to win elections in Sokoto state across the board .

Former Senate President , Abubakar Bukola Saraki who eulogised Sokoto state as Nigeria’s political hub with many messages of hope said the state has always been a political pivot to the life of PDP.

Saraki who was Chairman of the occasion maintained that supporting the state chapter was imperative to drive its activities to victory at the upcoming polls.

The former Kwara state governor and Chairman of the occasion noted that Sokoto has been a political pivot to the life of PDP.
