Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to peace, unity and inclusive governance, describing Kaduna as strongest when people of different faiths and backgrounds live and work together in harmony.
The governor spoke at the 2025 Christmas Carol organised by the Kaduna State Government in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kaduna State Chapter, where he joined the Christian community in celebrating the season.
Describing the event as solemn and uplifting, Senator Sani said the Christmas celebration underscored timeless values of love, sacrifice, compassion and unity, which, according to him, speak to the shared humanity of all citizens.
He stressed that his administration remains deliberate and unwavering in its resolve to restore Kaduna to its rightful place as a state where Christians and Muslims see one another as one people, live together peacefully and celebrate together in harmony.
“Our administration is firmly guided by the principles of inclusive governance, fairness and justice, ensuring that no one is left behind,” the governor said.
Senator Sani noted that his government has continued to translate citizen engagement into concrete action, pointing to extensive road construction and rehabilitation projects across urban and rural areas, as well as significant investments in healthcare, agriculture, transportation, education and social welfare.
According to him, the focus of his administration remains on development that is visible, impactful and shared by all residents of the state.
The governor expressed appreciation to religious leaders for their prayers and steadfast commitment to peace, which he said have continued to strengthen stability and social cohesion across Kaduna State.
He also acknowledged remarks by Christian clerics at the event, who commended his administration for inclusive leadership and sustained efforts to promote peace, security and unity, assuring him of their continued support and prayers.
As Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, Governor Sani urged all citizens to embody the true spirit of Christmas by becoming ambassadors of peace, love and hope.
He called on residents to work collectively towards building a Kaduna State where faith builds bridges, diversity drives progress and unity secures a shared future.
The governor wished Christians a joyful Christmas and all citizens a New Year filled with peace, progress and renewed hope.
