Government Technical College Malali Kaduna inaugurated it’s new Parents Teachers Association PTA, excos on Saturday 27 March 2021.
Mallam Abayomi Mohammad Alabi was inaugurated as the new chairman PTA of the college. He emerge through an election. He is presently the chairman of some organizations, among them, National Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts practitioners (NANTAP); He is the chief of staff “office of the Vice President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria AGN (North west zone,) Comrade Wassh Waziri Hong.
In his key note address he appreciated the out going Excos for their immense contributions to the growth and development of the college. He promised to tap from their wisdom to improve the standard of the college.
The new Chairman also said he needs support from all parents, he believes that with parents things will be a lot easier, since he has a formidable team of executives.
The new chairman, Mallam Mohammed Alabi, enjoined parents to promptly pay their PTA levy which will help the executives to function and work effectively. He further said he will need the support of parents, teachers, stake holders, and government to achieve any meaningful development. He stressed that his immediate priority will be to make the college a NECO center; The school must remain a boarding school not a day school like some students are trying to make it. He will work to strengthen internal security and improve staff welfare.
The out going chairman Mallam Mohammad Hamza Sada advised the new executives to lay priority on security issues, renovations of the hostel, classroom chairs and the need to attract the attention of the government.
The principal Mallam Ibrahim A Musa officiated the handing over, and enlightened the parents on the need to support the new executives, and thanked the out going executives for their selfless service.
The chairman of the college old boys association Engr Gokiss O Jatau witnessed the ceremony.
To further crown the occasion, the students displayed a cultural dance exhibition which added colours to the occasion.
Mallam Abayomi Mohammad Alabi wished the cultural display should be an annual event as a sign of unity. Imran Mohammad Alabi of the building engineering department received the Trophy for his department as the winners of the departmental games.
