Governor Uba Sani has officially received 183 worshippers who regained their freedom eighteen days after being abducted from their church service in Kurmin Wali, Kajuru Local Government Area.

In an emotional reception held at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House on Thursday, the Governor was joined by heads of security agencies and community leaders to welcome the survivors back to safety.
Describing the day as a “moment of joy for the state,” Governor Sani stated that the safe return of the entire group vindicates the quiet, relentless efforts of the state government and security forces.
He noted that while the January 18th attack came as a shock after more than two years of sustained peace in the region, the successful rescue reinforces the strength of the ongoing collaboration between the government and security agencies to protect the lives and property of all Kaduna citizens.
