IGBO QUIT NOTICE: Police Guarantee Security Of Indigbos in Kano

The Commissioner of Police Kano State, CP Rabiu Yusuf psc. today, Monday 12th April, 2017, held a meeting with leadership of Igbo Community living in the State.

The meeting was to assure them of the commitment of the Command towards ensuring safety of their lives and properties as every other Nigerian living in the State.

He called on Igbo community to be calm and live peacefully with other ethnic groups in the pursuit of their lawful business.

In his remark, Eze Igbo Kano, His Highness Dr. Boniface Ibekwe thanked the Commissioner of Police for his courage to summon the meeting at this crucial time. He also extolled the good people of Kano State for their tolerance and good manners towards other ethnic groups living in their midst.

He called on all Igbos and other Ethnic groups in the State to calm down as Kano will remain their State of origin where most of their children were born and brought up. They should also continue to pursue their legitimate businesses without any fear of harassment.

The meeting was rounded up with prayers for peace and progress of Kano State and the Nigerian Nation in general.
