I’ll Reposition the economy and create employment opportunities- Atiku

…Says Buhari, APC Must Go

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) in Nigeria’s forthcoming election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has advised Nigerians against returning the country to a state of retrogression by voting in APC to power.

Atiku stated this during his campaign rally in Kaduna on Thursday, noting that if Nigeria must move forward, the people have to take their destiny in their hands

According to the PDP presidential candidate, Nigeria in the last four years, has achieved nothing but topped the chart as the world poverty capital, pointing out that there is need to wrestle power from President Muhammadu Buhari, saying that APC must go.

While promising to reposition the economy and create employment opportunities for the teeming youth if elected, Atiku stated that the ruling All Progressives Congress, (APC), has failed on its campaign promises, urging Nigerians to vote the party out of power come February 16, 2019,

Also, the former Vice-President, Architect Namadi Sambo, charged the people to ensure that they collect their voter cards, which he described as crucial to the success of the Party.

In his remarks, Senate President and PDP Presidential campaign Director-General, Dr Bukola Saraki, bemoaned the level of insecurity, hunger, and economic backwardness of the country. He called for a change by voting in Atiku Abubakar in order to better the lots of people.

Speaking on the forthcoming elections, the PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, warned the Electoral body against rigging the polls particularly in the Internally Displaced Persons, (IDP) camps.He also cautioned Nigerians to be wary of empty promises of APC, saying Baba Buhari should be allowed to go home, adding that Nigeria needed someone with energy.

Secondus maintained that what the country needed is a healthy, focused and brilliant President who has a demonstrated capacity.“Never again would someone rigged elections in Nigeria. The Electoral body be warned. We can no longer celebrate incompetence and ignorance. You need lots of energy to rule Nigeria. Atiku has the capacity, and he’s full of energy, he would not fall down,” Secondus said.

In their separate remarks, former Governors of Kaduna State, Senator Mohammed Ahmed Makarfi and Alhaji Ramalan Yero, attributed the level of infrastructural development in the state to the PDP government and urged the people to turn out enmass and cast their votes for the party.

Similarly, the PDP Gubernatorial candidate in the State, Alhaji Ashiru Kudan, assured of delivering the State to the Party and advised the electorate to protect their votes from those bent on short changing them.

Expressing satisfaction with the turn out of people at the rally, the Senatorial candidate of Kaduna North zone, Senator Suleiman Hunkuyi, noted that if they used their votes well, it would chart a new direction for the destiny of the country.

Hunkuyi maintained that, that could be done by voting in a just government as well as pave way for a true probe of corrupt politicians and not witch hunting.

Earlier, the Kaduna State PDP Chairman, Felix Hassan Hyet, expressed optimism that the party would emerge victorious at the polls.He said going by the level of untold hardship witnessed in the country and the state in particular, there was no doubt that people would give the PDP a chance to salvage them.

Other party chieftains at the rally includes: former governor of Niger State, Chief Servant Babangida Aliyu; former governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna; and the three senatorial candidates of the party in the state among others.
