……..2 Vacant Positions For Bye- Election
Incumbent chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Kaduna State Council, Comrade Adamu Yusuf, has been returned unopposed for a three-year term of office. He was sworn-in on Saturday, December 15, 2018, alongside four others, namely – Zainab Aliyu Usman returned unopposed as Auditor, Noah Ebije Financial Secretary, Shindong Baka Assist Secretary and John Femi Adi as Secretary
The date for the bye-election for the two vacant positions of the Vice Chairman and the Treasurer are yet to be announced.
While recounting his achievements in the past 3 years, Comrade Yusuf, said “We inherited several court cases, but all have been resolved amicably. During inauguration, I promised to make Kaduna Council peaceful and progressive and I am happy that was achieved.
The Zonal Vice President of the NUJ, Comrade Yusuf Idris who presented the certificate of return to the chairman, congratulated him for returning unopposed for the second time. “This is a testimony to the fact that he has done well and will continue doing well. It shows that he is popular. As a member of this council, I am confident that this team will take Kaduna Council to enviable heights,” he said.
“On behalf of the NUJ President, Chris Isiguzo, I want to present this certificate of return to the chairman of the NUJ Kaduna Council,”.
