Kaduna state Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, says kidnappers now collaborate with “some elements of Boko Haram”

Governor Nasir El-Rufai has said that kidnappers are now collaborating with “some elements of Boko Haram” to carry out hideous crimes in Kaduna State.

El-Rufai stated this on Friday while addressing State House correspondents.

His comments come about a day after gunmen abducted six schoolgirls and two staff members, from a boarding school in Kaduna.
Governor El-Rufai who confirmed that the kidnappers had made contact with the parents of the victims, did not disclose what the demands of the abductors were.

The governor however said all security agencies in the state, have been on the matter, adding that he is confident that government would secure the release of the students and their teachers, and as well apprehend the kidnappers.
