Kaduna, Nigeria – September 27, 2024 – In a meeting held yesterday at the office of the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, officials underscored the critical role of education in fostering competitiveness in a globalized world. The Deputy Governor, alongside Commissioner for Human Services Hajia Rabi Salisu and Commissioner of Health Umma K. Ahmed, received Mr. Duncan Harvey, the Country Director of Save the Children International.
During the meeting, Dr. Balarabe articulated the state’s commitment to not only increasing school enrollment but also improving completion rates among students. “No one can compete well in this globalized world without education,” she stated, highlighting the urgency of addressing educational challenges in the region.
