… Describes Him As Voice Of The Downtrodden
Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria, ( SWAN), Kaduna state chapter on Wednesday mourned the demise of the former governor of Kaduna state, Alh. Abdulkadir Balarabe Musa, whose death was announced today.
The Association described the deceased as the voice of the downtrodden, whose contributions to societal and human development can not be easily forgotten.
SWAN’s position on the deceased was contained in a statement jointly signed by the Kaduna state Chairman of the Association, Comrade Jacob Zango and the state secretary, Comrade Abdulwaheed Olayinka Adubi; issued on Wednesday titled: loss of ‘Unique Personality’ and a ‘Jewel’.
In the statement, SWAN averred that Balarabe Musa will sorely be missed not only by the people of Kaduna state but by all Nigerians, who have diligently followed his antecedents as a voice for the voiceless and political activist.
Kaduna SWAN is in no doubt that the deceased has left behind legacies that the unborn generation will definitely come to meet.
To Balarabe Musa’s credit, he left a bold footprint on Nigeria’s democracy, and his role in promoting good governance and development will always be remembered and appreciated by posterity.
“It is our prayers that may God almighty grant his soul eternal rest, and comfort his family, friends and associates,” the statement reads.
