The Nigeria Union of Journalists ( NUJ) Kaduna State Council has called its members to actively participate in the forthcoming Nationwide Protest by Nigerian Labour congress to protest the hike in fuel and electricity tariff by the federal government.
In a statement by the Council Secretary, Comrade Femi John Adi,the council urged colleagues and council members to participate in the Protest scheduled to take place in Kaduna on Monday as arranged by Labour.
“Following the directive of the National body of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) , Kaduna State Council in adherence calls on all Chapels of Union to mobilize members for a peaceful protest scheduled to take place on 28th September, 2020 .
Convergence Point : Ranchers Bees Stadium by 7:00AM prompt.
“All Civil Servants, Civil Society Organizations, Non Governmental Organizations and all stakeholders are expected to participate in the peaceful protest against the hike in electricity and petroleum pump price.
Our slogan: Enough is Enough, we say no to electricity and fuel price hike.
NB: Please let’s join forces with other NLC to make the protest a success”
