The Chairperson of the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), wife of the Commissioner of Police Kano State Hajiya Salma Rabiu Yusuf has in her philanthropic activities donated food and drinking items, clothing materials, laundry soaps, sweets, and other items worth hundred thousands to orphans, mentally unstable persons and patients at Nassarawa orphanage home, Tudun Maliki Tory home and Murtala Mohammed Specialist Hospital respectively she also assist a patient with some amount of money to settle the hospital bill of her sick child.
Presenting the items in company of Members of the association , Hajia Salma called on well to do personalities and philanthropists in the Community to remember the less privileged members of the society by assisting them with basic necessities required to survive in life, especially during the first 10 days Zhul-Hadj.
On their part, the beneficiaries expressed delight over the gesture and prayed for her long life and prosperity.
