KASU STUDENTS EMBARKS ON PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION

By Evelyn Harry

The Kaduna state University students embarked on a two days peaceful demonstration following power outage in the Kafanchan campus of the university

This statement was contained in a communique issued by the students union at a meeting held in the campus.

In the communique the students lament the decision to embark on a two day peaceful demonstration, as a result of the severe and ongoing 5 months blackout, that has plaque the campus since May, 2023.

However, the lingering blackout has persisted. And despite exploring different channels to resolve the power outage including, the submission of letters to the school management, which has still not yielded any results.

Hence, the students union scheduled the 11th and 12th of October for a peaceful demonstration at KASU Kafanchan campus or boycott the forthcoming exams.
