KDSG announced monthly allowance for ward heads towards strengthening routine immunization.

In an effort towards strengthening protection of children from killer diseases, Kaduna State Government has approved a monthly allowance for 17139 Ward Heads (Mai Ungwas) in the 32 Chiefdoms of the state.

Kaduna state government has noted the immense contributions of the ward heads in ramping polio immunization leading to the declaration of Kaduna as polio free state.

Kaduna state will spend over N170m monthly in paying each ward head N10,000 as an incentive to encourage the mai ungwas.
This was disclosed in press briefing jointly held by the Commissioner of Local Government, Kabiru Mato, Commissioner of Health and Human Services, Dr Paul Many a Dogo, and the Executive Secretary and Kaduna Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Hadiza Balarabe.
