Kidnappers Demand ₦100m Ransom Per Victim for Abducted Kwara Worshippers

The bandits responsible for the recent mass abduction of worshippers from the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke-Igan, Eruku, in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, have reportedly demanded a staggering ₦100 million ransom per victim.

According to the church’s pastor, Lawrence Bamidele, between 30 and 35 worshippers were abducted during the violent attack on the church’s service on Tuesday evening.

Multiple family sources and community leaders confirmed the development to news outlets on Thursday, stating that the kidnappers had begun contacting relatives of the victims using the abductees’ mobile phones to issue the ransom demand.

Meanwhile, the traditional ruler of the town, Owa of Eruku, Oba Busari Olarewaju, has made an impassioned appeal for urgent government intervention to ensure the safe and prompt rescue of the victims.
