The organised labour has suspended its planned nationwide strike scheduled to begin on Tuesday.
This was announced Monday night by the Labour Uinions after a second meeting with the federal government delegations in Abuja.
NLC had earlier insisted there is no backing out except N30,000 is approved as the minimum wage. Government negotiators were saying they would pay N24,000. Long meeting between Labour and government lasted throughout Tuesday, with President Buhari pleading with Labour not to go on strike.
Finally the government had to avert the strike by asking to send what was discussed to the President on Tuesday.
