The All Progressives Congress leader in Sokoto state , Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko says the death of Alhaji Isah Muhammad Bawa, District Head of Gatawa is shocking and devastating.
Bawa the District Head of Gatawa in Sabon Birnin local government, East of Sokoto state was abducted along his son 25 days ago by suspected bandits in whose captivity was killed after the payment of ransom.
Condoling the family and entire people of Sabon Birni local government over the passing away of the monarch Wamakko who represent Sokoto North Senatorial District described the incident that led to Bawa’s death was barbaric and a cowardly act of banditry which must not go unpunished.
In a statement issued to reporters Thursday in Sokoto by his Media Aide, Bashar Abubakar, the lawmaker and former governor described the deceased as a leader with a good heart for his subjects and a peace-loving gentleman, thus, would continue to be remembered for his good deeds.
” We will continue to advise government at all levels on the need to intensify efforts towards bringing an end to the banditry and criminal activities bedeviling the Northern region and country”, as he prayed Allah forgives the late monarch and grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable lost.
