In a statement released on Thursday, party spokesperson Darlington Nwauju described the impeachment move by the State House of Assembly as “unnecessary” and warned that it could cause serious trouble for the state.
While the APC acknowledged that the lawmakers have the power to make their own decisions, the party made it clear that it will not support efforts to remove its own government leaders.
The party also warned its members in the Assembly not to let outside groups pressure them into making decisions that could lead to political chaos in Rivers State.
