Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko(APC-Sokoto) on Wednesday said himself and his successor, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal are the same in pursuit of their vision and mission for the state.
The immediate past governor’s remark aimed at shaming detractors in the state is coming on the heels of wild machinations by some political doubting Thomases.
Wamakko’s remark was contained in a statement issued in Sokoto by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Bashir Rabe Mani.
The Senate Committee Chairman on Basic and Secondary Education, spoke at his Gawon Nama, Sokoto residence when he addressed the mammoth crowd that escorted him from the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport, Sokoto,upon arrival from Abuja.
” Myself and Gov. Aminu Tambuwal are one and the same, while we have the same vision and mission.
” Nothing is between us unless mutual respect and the love for one another, as well as the love for our dear state and Nigeria, in general.
” The respect my younger brother, the Governor, is according me is unparalleled.
” I am truly and sincerely very grateful to him for this and i am highly cherishing his enviable gestures.”
However, Senator Wamakko was further quoted as cautioning those who are ceaselessly bent on sowing seeds of discord between them.
” We have the same vision and mission and only the Almighty God knows what is between us,” the former Governor of the state, averred.
