1. The Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, has defeated the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Lagos, his home state. DAILY POST

2. The Lagos State Police Command says 23 persons suspected to be involved in electoral violence and other crimes were arrested during the presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday in Lagos. The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest to the Newsmen on Sunday.

3. A suspect, Onyebi Benjamin Chimaobi who frequents Cameroun, Ethiopia, Uganda and has been on NDLEA’s watchlist was on Saturday 18th February arrested at Victory estate, Iba, Ojo area of Lagos in connection with the seizure of a 19.70kgs cocaine abandoned on an Ethiopian airline flight that arrived Lagos airport on Thursday 9th February. Chimaobi had travelled to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to pick the consignment, which he claimed was handed over to him in a black backpack bag on the plane in Addis Ababa but failed to disembark with it on arrival in Lagos. The National Business and Technical Board (NABTEB) has disclosed that 21,103 of the 27,782 candidates who sat for the 2022 November/December examinations obtained five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, representing 75.96 per cent. The Registrar NABTEB, Prof. Ifeoma Isuigo-Abanihe, who disclosed this in Benin Sunday during the release of the National Business Certificate (NBC)/National Technical Certificate (NTC) results, identified the dearth of qualified technical teachers as the bane of technical education. 6. The police command in Lagos says a claim that Igbo traders were attacked and robbed in the Lagos island market is “fake news”. Benjamin Hundeyin, Lagos police spokesperson, on his verified Twitter handle debunked the report on Monday. CABLES

7. Some youths in Lagos have expressed dismay over their denial to cast their votes during the just concluded presidential and National Assembly elections. According to report  the youth had expressed their grievances on Sunday, outside one of the collation centres at the Lagos State Model Nursery and Primary School, Maria, Lagos. PUNCH

8. The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has won the February 25 presidential election in Osun State. The state’s collation officer for the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Folashade Ogunsola, announced the development on Sunday. CHANNELS

The National Independent Electoral Commission(INEC) has stopped the coalition of Kebbi central senatorial election results following the disappearance of the returning officer for Marafa ward, in Birnin Kebbi. He was asked to step aside and reconcile some discrepancies in the result figures he brought to the collation centre when he disappeared and could not be traced since Sunday. DAILY TRUST

10. President Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated a committee to protect the cyberspace and information communication technology (ICT) infrastructure during the 2023 general elections. The committee would advise the federal government on appropriate measures to take to protect the nation’s cyberspace and ICT infrastructure from potential attacks as citizens go to the polls.
