The management of Kaduna Electric has said it was forced to disconnect power supply to all Ministries, Departments ,Agencies and other facilities belonging to Sokoto and Zamfara state governments after the two states were issued Demand as well as Final Disconnection Notices by the company three weeks ago.

2. The Independent National Electoral Commission’s Director for Voter Education and Publicity Victor Aluko has described as false allegations that its staff are colluding with certain people to prevent eligible Nigerians from collecting their Permanent Voters Cards, PVCs. DAILY POST

The Coalition of South East Youth Leaders has condemned the attack and assassination attempt on the Spokesperson of the Conference of United Political Parties, CUPP, Ikenga Ugochinyere in Akokwa, Imo State.Gunmen suspected to be assassins in large numbers attacked Ikenga at his home in Akokwa, Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo State leading to the killing of his uncle and two other in his compound were set ablaze by the assailants.

4. Flying Eagles head coach Ladan Bosso will now submit his final 21-man list for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations on January 25.

5. Malawi police have arrested two women in their mid-20s after they used kwacha bank notes as decorations for a cake they had baked and posted it on social media.
A police spokesman said the pair had posted the image of the cake festooned with 70 500-kwacha notes – worth 35 dollars on social media as they advertised their cake-making business. DAILY POST
