1. President Bola Tinubu has ordered the Department of State Security Services (DSS) to immediately vacate the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Ikoyi, Lagos. DSS officials stormed the EFCC Ikoyi office, stopping officials from accessing their workplace. Gunshots were also held in the area. But Tinubu in a statement by his media aide Tunde Rahman, the President called on the DSS to quit the premises. CHANNELS
2. Osun State High Court has found the popular hotel owner, Dr Ramon Adedoyin guilty in the murder case of Timothy Adegoke, a former master’s degree student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, whose death occurred between November 5 and 7, 2021, at Hilton Honours Hotel, Ile-Ife. The Osun Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo, while delivering her judgement on the case, held that the circumstantial evidence available to the court, pointed to the killing of Adegoke while being a guest at the hotel owned by Adedoyin. According to her, Adedoyin’s decision not to enter the witness box did not help him, as the circumstantial evidence had shifted the burden of proof on him. PUNCH
3. The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria, TUC, has rejected the removal of fuel subsidy as announced by President Bola Tinubu during his swearing-in ceremony on Monday. The Benin Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (BENCCIMA) has elected Barrister Austin Atakpu as its new President following the death of the former President, Mrs Aina Omo-Ojeonu, early 2023. The election of the new president and other executive officers was held during the 58th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Chamber, which held in Benin City, Edo State. Until his recent position, Atakpu was acting President of the Chamber. In a statement released Tuesday from the office of the President, other members of the new executive include; Engr. Godwin Omoregie Eki as the 1st Deputy President; Barr. Alex Eghosa Aganmwonyi as 2nd Deputy President; Pastor O.A. 5. More than 1,000 attacks on health care systems in Ukraine have been recorded since the start of the Russian invasion, more than in any other humanitarian emergency, the WHO said Tuesday. The attacks have impacted health providers, supplies, facilities and transport, including ambulances, said the World Health Organization’s European region office. CHANNELS
6. Nigeria’s Flying Eagles missed their official training session on Sunday after the team’s arrival in San Juan was delayed by Argentine airport officials. The team was due for training at the Estadio San Juan del Bicentario on Monday night. 8. About 30 members of the Biafra Zionists Federation, BZF, have been arrested in Enugu State. It was learnt that they were arrested by operatives of the Enugu State Police Command at the Michael Okpara Square, Enugu. The renowned actress, who is known for her creepy roles lamented that she does not own a car despite spending decades in the movie industry. 10. Napoli are reportedly set to offer Victor Osimhen a new contract as they look to keep the striker despite strong interest in him from elsewhere.
