3. Simon Ekpa, a popular Biafra agitator and Separatist, has announced a historic Biafran Self Referendum Convention tagged BSRC 2023. Ekpa, the Finland-based lawyer and Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government disclosed this through his official Twitter handle on Saturday. According to him, the event will be the first-ever gathering of Biafrans in Finland. Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 63 Brigade Garrison under 6 division and the Department of State Services, in a sustained effort to rid Nigeria of criminality, on Saturday destroyed an enclave of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)/Eastern Security Network (ESN)at Asaba, Delta State. While conducting a clearance operation, the troops raided a fortified enclave located in the middle of a forested High ground in the early hours of the day. Director of Army Public Relations, Brig Gen Onyema Nwachukwu said, “The gallant troops overpowered the IPOB fighters in the exchange of fire that followed the encounter, compelling them to abandon their hideout in disarray. 5. A Russian war correspondent working for the state RIA Novosti news agency, Rostislav Zhuravlev, was killed in a Ukrainian strike in the southern Zaporizhzhia region on Saturday, the military announced. “As a result of a strike by the Ukrainian army using cluster munitions, four journalists were wounded in various levels of severity,” the Russian army said in a statement. “During an evacuation, the RIA Novosti journalist Rostislav Zhuravlev died from his wounds that resulted from the cluster munitions exploding.” CHANNELS

6. Confederation of African Football (CAF) has described Chiamaka Nnadozie as the Super Falcons saviour in their opening game at the 2023 FIFA women’s World Cup. 7. Popular Nigerian Skitmaker, Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, popularly known as Trinity Guy, has been released from prison. Trinity Guy was released Friday evening after meeting his bail conditions. Popular content creator, Abdulgafar Ahmad, aka Cute Abiola announced his release in a post on his Facebook page. Sharing Trinity’s picture, Cute Abiola wrote: “TRINITY is finally free on Bail.
