Scheduled to run from August 9 to 14 at the Rugby School in Lagos, the quadrennial tournament marks only the second time an African nation has hosted a Commonwealth fencing event, following South Africa’s junior edition in 2022.

Nigeria secured the prestigious hosting rights over Australia, reflecting the country’s rising international profile under federation president Adeyinka Samuel.

Elite teams from across the Commonwealth will converge on Lagos for the tournament, which was last hosted in London, building on Nigeria’s recent successful hosting of the Junior Épée World Cup and the African Fencing Championships.
