An Army patrol unit that ran into a Boko Haram ambush ,successful repelled the attack and went to inflict heavy casualty on the insurgents .
The fighting took place at Sassawa village in Babbangida Local Government Area in Yobe State North East Nigeria .According to Army Spokesman , General Texas Chukwu , the rebels were the remnants of fleeing Boko Haram who were planning to attack the Babbangida market with the intent of stealing foodstuffs but were thwarted by the Army
