According to an official statement from the ICC, the tournament is scheduled to take place from October 18 to 25.
The national cricket team, the Yellow Greens, previously hosted and won the Sub-Regional C title in Abuja in 2024, though they ultimately missed out on a spot for the 2026 World Cup during the regional finals.
For this upcoming tournament, Nigeria will compete on home soil against Gambia, Lesotho, Mozambique, Uganda, and Zambia.
The six participating nations will compete for two coveted spots in next year’s regional final.
From there, the top two teams in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier will secure direct tickets to the 2028 T20 World Cup, co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
Meanwhile, Sub-Regional Qualifier B concluded earlier this year in March, with Tanzania and Ghana successfully securing their spots for the next phase of the qualification pathway.
