…exposes Buhari’s hypocrisy after supreme court judgement.
Nigeria’s Junior Minister for Labour and former APC Presidential Election Spokes person, Festus Keyamo, is at the receiving end of attack by Nigerians over his comments accusing Atiku Abubakar of poor sportsmanship for refusing to congratulate Buhari over the supreme court judgement affirming Buhari as the winner of the 2019 Presidential election.
Keyamo, who wrote on his twitter handle said “A man who claims to be a democrat refuses to congratulate the winner of an election, even after highest court affirmed it. Rather, he takes a swipe at ALL democratic institutions. That’s the hallmark of a bad loser. It appears the DUBAI STRATEGY turned out to be the DUBAI TRAGEDY”
Most of the respondents who commented on the post, while advising Keyamo to be circumspect in his utterances, said his principal, Muhammad Buhari, has never congratulated any of his opponents in all the elections he lost in 2003, 2007 and 2011.
While wondering what moral justification he has to eben suggest to Atiku to congratulate Buhari in a judgement that is considered to be unacceptable to the generality of the populace.
Below are some of the tweets in response to Festus Keyamo.
The Supreme Court in Nigeria affirmed President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC as the winner of the 2019 Presidential election following an appeal by the presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
