The allegations stem from the club’s Matchday 13 fixture against Plateau United, played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos on Sunday.
The league confirmed that the investigation was initiated after receiving a detailed petition submitted by the visiting club, Plateau United.
The complaints cover events that reportedly occurred before, during, and after the Sunday match.
In its official communication, the NPFL stated unequivocally that “Ikorodu City have been found to be in breach of several provisions of the Framework and Rules of the Nigeria Premier Football League.”
The league further mandated that Ikorodu City must provide a full response to the charges within a specified period.
The statement included a stern warning that failure to comply would carry immediate penalties, noting, “Failure to respond within the stipulated time shall be taken as acceptance of the charges.”
