Odigie-Oyegun Withdraws From APC National Chairmanship Race

“Even though, I had the desire to re-contest as National Chairman of the Party, I have decided that it is ultimately in the best interest of the Party for me to withdraw from the race” The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun informed journalists at his Abuja residence on Friday night.

The All Progressives Congregations, APC, had on May 24, confirmed June 23, 2018 date for its National Convention, as announced by the Party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi.

“The All Progressives Congress (APC) has scheduled the National Convention for Saturday, June 23, 2018.

“Inauguration of new Party executives will subsequently hold on Monday, June 25, 2018,” he told journalists.

recalls that the National Convention Committee of the Party led by Governor of Jigawa State Abubakar Badaru, had earlier picked June 23 tentatively for the Party’s convention in place of June 2 earlier scheduled.
