Edo Central Senatorial District Labour Party (LP) aspirant, Engr. Osereme Christen Omofoma, has assured the people of the district that his presence at the National Assembly will bring greater recognition and development to the Esan nation. He made this pledge during the inaugural meeting of the Ekpoma Youths Development Association (EYDA) over the weekend.
Engr. Omofoma, accompanied by his consultation team, Labour Party faithful, and local executives, was warmly received by members of EYDA, a non-partisan group committed to fostering development in Edo Central. The association offered prayers for the aspirant and his team, emphasizing their openness to engaging with all political aspirants working towards the region’s progress.
In his address, Omofoma criticized the performance of previous administrations led by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC), asserting that both parties had failed the people of Edo Central. He called on the youths to support the Labour Party, describing it as a people-focused platform capable of delivering the desired change and development.
Omofoma reiterated his commitment to purposeful representation, promising to bring Edo Central into the national spotlight and improve the lives of its people. “Our people have suffered enough. It is time to end the suffering through effective and impactful representation,” he declared.
He also addressed the country’s security challenges, pledging to collaborate with his Senate colleagues to sponsor and pass bills aimed at tackling criminality and other security issues. “Edo Central will experience a transformation under my representation, and everyone will enjoy the dividends of good governance,” he assured.
Other speakers at the event lauded Omofoma’s vision, describing him as a leader with innovative ideas to transition Edo Central from consumption to production. They urged the youths to rally behind his candidacy for a more productive and prosperous Edo Central.
The gathering concluded with a call for unity and support to usher in a new era of development and recognition for the Esan nation.
