OPINION: Do Not Fear That Which You Feared In The Year 2021, Cross Over To 2022 With The Courage To Face Your Ultimate Destiny, By Nasiru Jagaba

The nobles make noble plans, and one day they stand surrounded by noble successes. To avoid losing opportunities, preparation should proceed ahead of opportunities.

As the year 2021 closes in the next 3 days, have you thought to retire from all your engagements and go for a 2 or 3 days retreat. Where you will sit down with only your pen and a paper to carefully reflect your entire activities in the year, 2021 both spiritually and physically.

Furthermore, you should analyse your successes and failures in 2021. Critically looking at various aspects of your life including your social life, strength, weaknesses,  and how you keep relationships with people.

Also important, is to reflect on how you spent your time in the year 2021. To know whether the time you spent has a remarkable impact  on your achievements or not. You should know how and where you invest much of your time.

Whether reading books, or building capacity or learning skills or in the beer parlor, or in a  club or watching movies or chatting all-night with friends or even flexing with women. Then be honest to yourself to admit whether you used your time wisely or foolishly.

It will also be wise of you if you will check your speedometer  to know the rate of your speed  and to know what speed rate do you need to  cover the distance ahead of you within your limited time. You must be very cautious of your time, time is very limited and can’t be retrieved. That’s why it is important to plan.

More Importantly, before you go straight into planning. You should have the answers to these questions: Why do you exist? Where are you?  Why are you here? Where are you going? How did you get there? what does it takes to get there? what are the possible and unforseen challenges? And how do you beat these challenges?

Therefore, with the answers to above questions, then you draw a personal action plan based on your awareness, values, reflection, goal setting, and personal development in career, education, interpersonal relationships, or self-improvement. Your documents should include vision, mission, objectives, strategies, action plan and results (outcomes and outputs) to be reached in the field.

Of equal importance, is a description of your existing problems and their solutions, an impact assessment, strategic priorities, as well as further action for the implementation and evaluation of your plan. Make sure you run your goals through the SMART criteria: Specific,

Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and timely.
Don’t allow the failure of yesterday to destroy your spirit and your will. You and you alone hold the foundations of your dreams and your destiny. So don’t give up, the day nears to an end and slowly the sky goes black. Through the darkness appear the glittering eyes of the world and they gaze down at you.

Strive not to falter in the face of adversity or evil; good things attract  the good and the bad. “Enemies are product of Eminence.”

I challenged you to rise and face the challenge however difficult it may be. In defeating the challenges within your life continue to be a good person, do not become like your enemies for to do so will deprive your soul of the peace it desires.

Finally, go into 2022 at peace with your soul. Your island, which you have striven to seek all your life, is now within your grasp. Your island is a place of non-attachment and non-possession. It is a place of calmness where the pains of yesterday are but a distant memory.

Do not fear that which you feared in the year 2021. Cross over  to 2022 with the courage within your heart to face your ultimate destiny.

Happy New year in advance.
