Yoruba youths under the umbrella body, Agbarijo Egbe Odo Yoruba (Grand Council of Yoruba Youths), has congratulated Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State on his electoral victory over two other contestants, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti and Hon Lasun Yussuf, the immediate past Secretary to the State Government, Osun State, who doubles as the Action Democratic Party (ADP) Governorship Candidate in 2018 and the immediate past Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives respectively in the Osun State primary election.
The youths noted that the unprecedented achievements of the Governor in the last 3 years plus and that of his predecessor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, accounted for this electoral triumph
The Yoruba youths led by Comrade AWA Bamiji, the Aare – Apapo (President General) of the group, said, “We expect that the Osun State electorate will give this a deeper meaning come Saturday, 16th July, 2022, by returning their hardworking Governor for 2nd term in Office through their bulk and overwhelming votes.
“Considering the political antecedents and track records of the 1st and 2nd Runner-ups in the Progressive family starting from the era of the late Sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, one will conclude that their vast knowledge in the grassroot Politics couldn’t be wished away.
“There’s no permanent enemy in Politics but permanent interest and our collective and geniune interest must be on how the forthcoming Governorship election in the State would be favourable to the Party.
“Also, there is no 100% perfect election in the whole World. This is the reason why the Winner of the primary election must extend the Olive Branch to his other 2 important Brothers.
“This Organisation is assuring all of them that we are going to sacrifice further by resuming our reconciliation moves among the key Political Gladiators in the All Progressives’ Congress (APC), Osun State, which we started last year November with the blessings of Yoruba Leaders of Thought as well as peace loving Youth Organisations.
“We are very optimistic that very soon, everything will fall in place inside the Progressive Camp in Osun State. Odu’a a gbewa o!”, the youths said.
