Ahead of Osun governorship election taking place on Saturday , the Social Democratic Party(SDP), one of the major opposition party in the state has promised to disgrace and defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC) .
The party also boasted that APC will meet its waterloo as its candidate, Senator Iyiola Omisore will emerge victorious.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Alhaji Alfa Mohammed ,who stated this in a press statement issued in Abuja,said the good people of Osun ,who have been impoverished, angered and subjected to severe sufferings by bad governance will not succumb to money politics and vote buying by the ruling government and others but, will rather vote their conscience.
“The APC’s antics to rig the election has been uncovered by the already impoverished and angered masses of Osun state who have suffered over the years from the biting economic policies of the government which according to Tinubu, APC leader was the product of its current candidate Oyetola.”
“We have adequately sensitized the people of the state and they are set to confront all the electoral vices usually perpetrated by the APC, particularly vote buying and ballot snatching.
“They will be disgraced and they will meet their waterloo on 22nd September in the cities and villages of Osun State where the masses are waiting earnestly to show their rejection of APC and adoption of SDP candidate, Senator Iyiola Omisore as the new governor of the State,” he said.
