As the electioneering campaigns approaches last lap, Sokoto state Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal at the weekend intensified call on Nigerians to vote for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates.
He said the opposition PDP has the most credible and desirous candidates that could provide the best leadership and solutions to Nigeria’s problems across board.
” I am convinced and optimistic in our candidates. They are committed democrats for the people of Nigeria.”
Tambuwal who is seeking reelection amidst challenges by other parties candidates including his former deputy governor, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto of the All Progressives Congress spoke in Gwadabawa town, headquarters of Gwadabawa local government when his campaign train staged a rally to address PDP supporters.
“We have the best candidates at all levels, who can deliver the needs of Nigerians and ensure the country of our dream.
“As such, I wish to personally solicit for more support for all PDP candidates in the country in order to enable us to deliver the government of our dream.’’
Tambuwal said that his government had in the last three and a half years committed enormous resources to improving water supply, provided electricity as well strengthen the implementation of its intervention social policy that supports orphans and other vulnerable groups in the state.
“We have done well in all sectors, and I want to assure you that our government will focus more on improvement in education, security, agriculture and health sectors, if re-elected,” he said.
Also, former governor of the state, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, while acknowledging the loyalty and support for PDP by people of the state, reminded to ensure the victory of the party, adding that” our victory will be beneficial to the entire Sokoto state and therefore, is your duty to mobilise for more support for the party inorder to reap from good governance”, he urged.
Similarly, the state party Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, who expressed gratitude to the gathering for moving with Tambuwal’s PDP-led government in the state, said more better things were coming if he is reelected
In his remarks, Alhaji Mukhtari Bello Maigona and the campaign council Director General, expressed excitement for the unprecedented spirit of loyalty and commitment to PDP and its candidate towards their victory by people of the state.
” You have shown that PDP and its candidates are the best choice to offer you the best leadership that will give Nigerians the hope and dream of their desire for prosperity.”
