Peller Issues Public Apology Following Arrest and Mental Health Crisis

TikTok creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has broken his silence following his detention by the Lagos State Police. In an emotional video shared from a hospital setting, Peller expressed deep regret for a recent livestreamed car crash and alleged suicide attempt, pleading with Nigerians for a second chance.

He stated that he allowed his emotions get the best of him, confirming that he is currently undergoing medical treatment and will remain offline until his recovery is complete.

The incident was triggered by a highly publicized breakup with his partner, Jarvis, who recently confirmed the end of their relationship. Jarvis noted that while she cares for him, his struggles with emotional regulation made their union unsustainable. In his apology, Peller took full responsibility for the event and specifically asked the public to stop the cyberbullying directed at Jarvis.

The Lagos State Police Command, while acknowledging his remorse, has reiterated that the investigation into the reckless driving and public safety threat remains active at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID). DAILYPOST
