The people of Jigawa state on may 14,2018 received President Muhammadu Buhari on a two days working visit to the state. Mr. President was in the state to commission projects executed by the current administration led by His Excellency, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar, as part of his routine visit to states.
The people of Jigawa while receiving Mr. President were delighted, some expressed happiness for hosting the President in their state. Recalling that this is the first time the President is visiting the state since when he was elected on may 2015.
Speaking with journalists, Engr. Mohammed Idris Zangi, expressed happiness, also described the visit as a welcome development.
“We are happy to receive Mr. President in our state. I think this is a welcome development. This is the first time Mr. President is visiting Jigawa and you can see how people are happy, how eager they are to see Mr. President,”he said.
He however, stressed that the visit will rejuvenate the economic potentials of the state, “this visit will rejuvenate our economic potential, which will enhance productivity and social welfare of the people,” he added.
In the same vain, the special assistance on economic empowerment to the Governor, Mohammed Sheikh Mujaddadi, said, Mr. President visit was at the right time. Adding that the administration of Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar has built a robust economy in the state.
“We thank Mr. President for taking out time out of his busy scheduled to visit Jigawa. We are happy because we believe his visit will bring social transformation for our people.
“His Excellency, the Executive Governor, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar, have done credibility well in building strong economy in the state. He has empowered youths through his empowerment policies,” he said.
In his part, the commissioner for women affairs and social development, Hajiya Ladi Ibrahim, described the visit as a demonstration of Mr. President’s love for the people of the state. She however called on the people of Jigawa state to give the President support for his 2019 bid.
