The Rabat Court of Appeal has reaffirmed the prison sentences and fines previously handed down to a group of Senegalese football supporters following their conviction by a lower court.

Under the upheld ruling nine supporters will serve one-year terms while six others received six-month sentences and three individuals were given three-month terms.
Legal proceedings concluded with the court making no modifications to the initial penalties.
Despite the confirmation of the sentences three of the convicted supporters are scheduled for release this Saturday after completing their designated three-month jail terms.
